Rihanna’s Latest Single “Where Have You Been” Gets to the #9 Spot of America’s Top 100 Songs for 2012

Rihanna’s upbringing in Saint Michael, Barbados inspired in her a different kind of music that’s unique even for a young artist like her. To that end she has become the recipient of many awards including the Grammy’s, American Music Awards, BRIT Awards and Billboard Music Awards. She has become one of the hottest artist of our generation and may as well define it through her songs. Her music is somewhat a mixture of Hispanic, African and modern American beat and because it has a hip kind of tune to it, most easily become instant sensation to teen agers all over the world.

Now her newest single “Where Have You Been” is once again fighting its way to the number spot of the US Top 100 Songs for 2012. At the moment Ellie Goulding’s “Lights” is dominating the music scene but it’ll just be a matter of time before Rihanna will steal the show and even if this song won’t make it to the number one spot in the charts, it still proves that she’s one of the top contenders that will occasionally be in the top 10 songs most liked by people.

Rihanna is also famous on the internet as she has sold almost 50 million singles to date, this is actually a historical world record because she is the only artist that have accomplished this feat. I guess we’ll still have to wait for someone else to break it but I have a feeling that the one who set the record will still be the one to break it. She has already sold over 50 million copies of her albums since 2007 and she may well be a hall of famer by 2020, which will put her among the ranks of Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley and Madonna. Hopefully she will be, she is really a talented artist.

Here’s the music video of her song:
