A Balanced Diet is the Other Side of the Coin to Exercise

Our bodies are not that complicated to understand because it’s basically a machine in the biological context and works like one in every way. Let us take the analogy of a car’s engine and find the similarities between our how our bodies function and how it does. To start with when you take in fuel, then you get power or energy output in the form of heat, which thus enables the car to propel itself. In the same way we also take in carbohydrates daily in order to burn calories, which enables us to work, play and do a lot of other things.

If you leave the car at full tank and not drive it for 6 months, you get engine trouble and you’ll notice that it takes forever to start. However, if you leave your body taking in a lot of carbs and you not doing any work or exercise for 6 months, you will find that you have gained 30lbs. You see your body works a bit different than a car in this respect, because it stores excess energy that hasn’t been or could no longer be metabolized. Although it is true that you will need a certain amount of daily exercise to keep this balance in check; however, you will also need to check on your diet.

Some foods that are good for your diet
There is no need to tell you that you need carbs daily as you’re already eating it in your bread, cereal, mash potato, fries and a lot of other foods. But keep daily carb intake to a minimum of about 2,000 calories for women and 2,500 calories for men (depending on the level of workout that you engage in). You also need to eat healthy foods like:

  • Apples
  • Crude Rice Brain, Spinach or Almonds
  • Carrots
  • Apple Juice
  • Red Wine
  • Lean Meat
  • Fish
  • Corn
  • Banana

All these foods mentioned here contain important substances that will not only make you fit, but incredibly healthy also. For instance the banana contains a lot of Potassium, which aids in the nerve functions of the brain as well as during cell osmosis. Crude rice brain, spinach or almonds has plenty of the element Magnesium. In case you don’t know Magnesium is an anti-cancer element and it helps prevent sleep disorders.

In fact in Egypt and other countries in Asia the cancer rate is below 10% per year, which is barely noticeable and because they don’t have cancer problems or sleeping disorders, there is no need for them to take prescribed medications for lack of sleep or insomnia, which most western countries heavily depend on to get by. Just so you know taking prescribe medication like candy is absolutely NOT healthy for you. If you want to have it all, then do it the old fashioned way and take in chemicals that are naturally occurring on plants and animals and not those prepared in laboratories.

Now you can do whatever kind of workout that you feel is suitable for you, but don’t forget the high health benefits that having a proper diet can bring if you eat the right kind of foods. And since there are more vitamins and minerals than calories in these foods, then you’ll be putting off twice the amount of weight from your body when you make them as your preferred foods. So think about and make that decision to have an established diet plan and see the results that have eluded you for so long. Have a healthy life!
