11 Things to Ask Before Selecting a Search Engine Optimization Package

Choosing the best search engine optimization package can be a daunting task, but it will all be worth it if you find the right company to do the SEO tasks for your website. It can even get more complicated if you’re new to this whole SEO business, I mean after all you wouldn’t want some scam company to take advantage of you now would you? To avoid ending up in the mercy of the wrong kind of SEO services, ask yourself these questions in order to see if they stand out from the rest.

1. What SEO techniques do they employ?
Find out whether they do white-hat SEO techniques in the search engine optimization package that they offer. If they’re using non-sanctioned tricks or black-hat SEO, find someone else.

2. How do they do off-page SEO?
Backlinking or off-page optimization should be included in their search engine optimization package. This means that they are aware which sites/blogs/forums to build quality links from and which social media site is good to get traffic from. If you know more about this stuff than they do, then get off this ride ASAP! You’re in for a lot of trouble than you’ve expected, find a better SEO company instead.

3. How soon can they show you results?
A good SEO company knows their trade well and should be able to tell you how soon they can give you results. The fact of the matter is that you can actually see results in a month’s time, although not as desirable as when you will see it after 3-6 months or so.

7. How’s their customer feedback?
Ask 1 or 2 of their clients about how they were treated with that SEO company to get an idea on how you’ll be treated as well, this way you can set a certain expectations.

8. Do they have a well-laid SEO plan?
How will they implement SEO on your website? Do they give you the “surprise” kind of SEO method or are they transparent about their methods and explain everything to you in detail even if you do not understand most of the technical jargons? A good SEO company must be able to give you a good grasp on how things will become after 3 months. If they can’t, then it’s either a language barrier or they have no idea what they’re talking about.

A cookie cutter search engine optimization package is in other words cheap and ineffective. Don’t be deceived by very cheap offers because they tend to be a very lousy service also.

11. What does your gut feeling tell you?
Simply said, a good SEO service should make you feel good and at ease when it comes to hiring their services. While a bad SEO company will give you goose bumps and the feeling of seeing a ghost or something worse.
